Ornamentation has been an oxymoron in design based on functionalism. Instead, decorative items have always been popular standing alone. In Portal bookshelf, traditional figures transformed to fit with today’s culture have been incorporated into a solid part of modular furniture.

One of Portal’s key advantages is its versatility. The boxes can be rearranged in multiple configurations to accommodate different needs and uses. Also, the product can be purchased one module at a time so you can slowly build up your own unique collection.

The material is solid birch. Sculptures are made by sculptor Kaj Lindgård. Portal has been exhibited at the Habitare design fair in Helsinki, Finland and selected by the press as one of the most interesting designs of the fair.
